Warehouse 21 is looking for an Account Planner who will embrace clients and consumers as partners in the process of developing marketing communications. The Planner will use audience insights to inform and inspire creative ideas, and guide and validate resulting marketing campaigns. The Planner will interact with internal brand strategy, creative, event/experiential, and media planning teams throughout the campaign lifecycle.


Warehouse 21 is a brand, campaign, and event firm located in Cheyenne, WY with team members and work partners around the US. We operate in a collaborative environment where attention to detail and quality execution are key. Our planning team handles projects across all of our service lines from brand to campaign to event / experiential rather than being a niche or subject matter expert in any one type of project. Warehouse offers a hybrid work environment with a physical office space in Cheyenne, Wyoming that employees are welcome to use at any time and/or we also have a number of employees working remotely from wherever they are in the country.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of agency/creative experience, at least 3 years in a planning or other campaign strategy position

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field

  • Previous UX/UI style research experience and implementation

  • Experience working with various research methods and tools (primary and secondary research experience)

  • Prior experience working on a variety of projects spanning multiple industries

  • Familiarity with all types of online and new media as well as traditional media and experience leveraging them individually and collectively to accomplish brand/campaign objectives

  • Must be innately curious about human behavior, and passionate about audience profiling

  • Exceptional organizational skills required, including documentation of notes and campaign details

  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills required

  • Exceptional writing skills required

  • Track record of critical thinking and exploration

  • Ability to see the big picture of a campaign strategy while also retaining the minute details of campaign assets


Functions and Responsibilities

  • Organize campaign planning activities

  • Contribute to high-level campaign budget planning

  • Undertake research to better understand a brand’s audience and how to best reach them

  • Interpret data from original research and secondary sources

  • Define audience/users, build user journeys and personas where appropriate

  • Contribute to creative briefs with strategic direction on audience and targeting as well as messaging strategy

  • Distill all client and research inputs to a clearly defined campaign strategy (targeting, channel selection, priority messaging, campaign execution, etc.)

  • Contribute to new brand development by identifying key tenets of a brand and where they overlap with audience needs/interests, and helping direct content around that intersection

  • Collaborate with brand strategy, creative, event/experiential, and media planning teams in the creative planning process

  • Bring thorough content and user strategies to guide web wireframes

  • Review outputs from all internal teams and partners to ensure alignment with campaign and messaging strategy

  • Write and present campaign plans and pitch decks to internal and client audiences, including overview of campaign strategy and details about how all assets will be executed

  • Review internal and client feedback to ensure revision approaches align with campaign and content strategy

  • Conduct in-campaign performance analysis and recommend adjustments as appropriate

  • Complete post-campaign effectiveness reporting

Remote Workspace 

Warehouse asks that remote employees designate a workspace within their individual work location that is suitable for completing necessary duties. This position is best performed if the employee is available by phone, video, email, and chat during designated working times: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Mountain Time. The workspace and equipment should be appropriately safeguarded in order to protect confidential company and client information.


If hired, and planning to work remotely, we may ask the new employee to spend some time on site in Cheyenne, Wyoming for training within the first two months of employment. Occasional travel to Cheyenne, or to one of our client’s locations may be required depending on the project/campaign. There are also two mandatory (and fun) events held in Cheyenne each year.
